In short, I’m a writer, a reader, and a perpetual student with a slight caffeine addiction. And now for the long version:

Right now, I’m a graduate student at Texas Christian University pursuing an MA in English with a certificate in Women & Gender Studies. I’m especially interested in researching young adult literature, sci-fi and fantasy, and adaptation studies. I have worked as the managing editor and associate fiction reader for TCU’s literary journal, descant. Next semester, I will begin working as a teaching assistant for the English Department. 07-vc5umnc

I write in all genres and experiment with many different modes. I’ve had poems published in the literary journal, Forces.  My short fiction has been anthologized in the collection, Unburied Fables. Lastly, I’m in the process of editing my young adult fantasy novel, THE DANCE OF THE PEACOCK. This project is currently being evaluated by beta readers, and will be sent to prospective agents soon, hopefully.

I’m a tattooed Californian living in Texas and missing the ocean terribly. My husband and three cats take up most of my time. Besides books and writing, I love Dragon Age, baking, crocheting, binge-watching sitcoms and cooking competition shows, and journaling.

Thank you so much for your interest in my work!
